The below approach describes how transport1 network should evolve to become fully programmable. In other words, it describes how to make transport services software defined.
Note: The below approach should not be applied directly to datacenter SDN and SDN for OTT services. Although key concepts in datacenter/OTT SDN are very similar to transport SDN, specific details require additional clarification.
