After we clarified what is NFV (the basis for our company's NFV vision), we might think where should we start our NFV journey. The first steps might be the same as for any other transformation initiative:
- Unambiguously define strategic goals
- Clarify what technology, capabilities, organizational structure, etc. should look like to reach these goals – define the requirements
- Analyze what is currently available what are the gaps
- Define strategy to make the transformation happen
It seems trivial, but only on a generic level. We are to define the tactical initiatives with scopes for almost every decision maker in the company. We would definitely change a lot, including organizational structure, processes, ways of thinking and much more. So, what are the next steps?
